Mr. Sina Adeyeye, the Press Officer at the Office of the Head of Service, conveyed in Akure that the presentation of cheques to the retirees is scheduled for Thursday.

“In a bid to address the outstanding gratuity for state retirees, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has sanctioned the release of N1.2 billion to fully clear the gratuity arrears for the 2014 retiree cohort. Notably, gratuities for those who retired in 2013 were settled in 2023, and individuals who retired in 2011 and a portion of those from 2012 at the local government level have also received their entitlements.

Furthermore, the government has earmarked an additional N320 million to cater to the benefits of pensioners across various categories,” affirmed Adeyeye.
