#OndoDecides2024: Gov. Okpebholo Hails Aiyedatiwa’s Victory, Sees It As A Positive Development For OndoGovernor of Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has congratulated the people of Ondo State following the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, in the recent governorship election.

Governor Aiyedatiwa secured a decisive win, garnering 366,781 votes across all 18 local government areas of Ondo State. He triumphed over Agboola Ajayi of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who received 117,845 votes.

In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, Governor Okpebholo expressed his enthusiasm to collaborate with Governor Aiyedatiwa for the benefit of both Edo and Ondo States, highlighting the strong ties between the two regions.

He also prayed for Aiyedatiwa’s leadership, wishing him the wisdom and guidance needed to govern Ondo State effectively over the next four years, bringing about greater progress and development for its people.

The statement read, “I congratulate my friend and brother, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State, on his victory in last Saturday’s governorship election. His success is a positive sign, and I am confident that we will work together to foster peace and development in our states as close neighbours. I also thank the people of Ondo State for supporting Governor Aiyedatiwa, and I believe he will bring prosperity to the people of Ondo and to Nigeria as a whole.
