While filming with director Gengraved_Arts, who had just received his passport, Bassey held it in admiration. But instead of simply celebrating the moment, she said a prayer, declaring that she would be the next to get hers. True to her words, she received her U.S. passport the following year.
Encouraging her fans, Grace emphasized the power of celebrating others and speaking positively.
“I held the passport, prayed for him, and boldly declared that I would be next. By 2025, it happened! Words spoken to God carry power,” she shared.
She urged her followers not to envy others’ blessings but to rejoice with them and claim similar victories for themselves.
“When you see something good, declare it over your life. Don’t hate—celebrate! That’s the only way you can attract blessings,” she added.
This inspiring testimony comes months after Grace made headlines in May 2025 for completing her U.S. Navy boot camp and officially becoming a citizen of the United States.
The 35-year-old actress from Cross River State dedicated her success to her late father, Naval Commander Asido Bassey Effah, who served in the Nigerian Navy. She changed her name to Grace-Charis Bassey in 2021 after a life-changing spiritual experience.
