Orban On Fire! Nigerian Star Hits Hat-Trick As Amedspor Humiliate Başakşehir 5-0
Gift Orban continued his remarkable start to life in the Turkish Super Lig after producing a sensational second-half hat-trick to inspire Amedspor to a commanding 5-0 victory over Istanbul Başakşehir.
According to Bush Radio Academy, the Nigerian forward scored all three of his goals after the interval as Amedspor turned an already comfortable advantage into a resounding victory. The performance took Orban’s league tally to six goals in just five appearances since joining the club on loan during the summer transfer window.
Orban doubled Amedspor’s lead seven minutes into the second half after rising to meet a cross from Furkan Soyalp and directing a well-placed header into the bottom corner. Just two minutes later, the 23-year-old struck again after a swift counter-attack, calmly finishing from close range after Ermal Krasniqi picked him out.
The Nigerian completed his hat-trick with 15 minutes remaining, once again benefiting from Krasniqi’s delivery before firing the ball into the net to seal a memorable individual performance.
The three goals mean Orban has now registered six league goals and one assist in his opening five appearances for Amedspor. He has already found the net against Trabzonspor, Kasimpasa and Başakşehir, quickly establishing himself as one of the division’s most dangerous attacking players.
His latest display also saw him draw level with fellow Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen on six Super Lig goals. However, Osimhen reached the mark in four appearances for Galatasaray before being sidelined by a hamstring injury and has also contributed two assists.
Orban’s impressive run in Turkey could further strengthen his claim for a return to the Nigeria national team as the Super Eagles prepare for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Mozambique and Guinea-Bissau. His continued form is expected to intensify competition for places in Nigeria’s attack.
