Senator Adams Oshiomhole, who represents Edo North in the National Assembly, has said President Bola Tinubu relocated from Nigeria during the administration of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari to avoid what he described as political humiliation linked to certain government policies.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

Oshiomhole made the remarks during an interview on The Mic On Podcast on Sunday.

The former Edo State governor also stated that Tinubu remained loyal to Buhari’s administration despite being sidelined at the time.

According to him, Tinubu, who served as the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) during Buhari’s tenure, was uncomfortable with some policy decisions and political appointments made by the administration.

He said, “Tinubu stood by Buhari even when he was ignored. He relocated so as to distance himself from the humiliation that came from certain policy choices, appointments, and decisions taken by the Buhari administration.

“Remember that Buhari’s first declaration was that he belonged to everybody and belonged to nobody.”

In a related comment, Oshiomhole also alleged that many senators in the 10th National Assembly are dissatisfied with the leadership style of Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

He made the claim while responding to questions about whether he poses any political challenge to Akpabio.

The former governor further alleged that the Senate President is overly suspicious of him and suggested that, if possible, Akpabio would prefer to exclude him from the chamber.

However, Oshiomhole maintained that the issue goes beyond personal disagreements, insisting that several lawmakers are also unhappy with the current leadership style in the Senate.

He warned that the situation could change significantly after the 2027 elections, when a new 11th National Assembly is expected to emerge, suggesting it may operate differently from the current one.
