Osun Election: ‘This Is The Hand Of God’ — Imole Campaign Chief Reacts To Adeleke’s Victory

The spokesperson for the Imole Campaign Council, Pelumi Olajengbesi, has expressed excitement over the outcome of the 2026 Osun State governorship election, describing Governor Ademola Adeleke’s victory as a reflection of God’s intervention and the will of the people.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday declared Adeleke the winner of the keenly contested election held on Saturday, August 15, 2026.

According to the electoral commission, Adeleke, who was seeking re-election, secured victory in 19 of the state’s 30 local government areas, while his closest challenger, Bola Oyebamiji of the All Progressives Congress (APC), won 11 LGAs.

The candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Najeem Salaam, finished in third place.

The final results announced by INEC showed Adeleke polling 511,067 votes, while Oyebamiji secured 444,815 votes, giving the incumbent governor a margin of 66,256 votes.

Speaking with journalists after the results were announced, Olajengbesi said the outcome represented both the will of Osun voters and what he described as the manifestation of God’s hand.

He further argued that the election had demonstrated Adeleke’s popularity among residents of the state.

“I am super excited. This is the Lord’s doing; this is the manifestation of God’s hand; this is the will of the people of Osun State. I am glad because this election has clearly shown that Governor Ademola Adeleke is the man of the people,” Olajengbesi said.
