The Osun State Government has announced that teachers who have been stationed in their current public schools for over five years will soon be transferred to new schools. Mustapha explained, “To enhance and revitalize our educational system, the Osun State Teaching Service Commission is instituting a policy to reassign teachers who have spent more than five years at their current schools. This policy is in line with international best practices, which advocate for teacher rotation to foster optimal educational development.”

He noted that prolonged tenures at the same schools have led to the formation of cabals and hampered effective administration, impeding the advancement of schools. To counter this issue, affected teachers will be relocated before the start of the next academic session, beginning September 16, 2024.
