Osun State Law Enforcement Apprehends 11 Alleged Armed Robbers In Recent Operation

Deputy Commissioner Okafor revealed that the suspects were nabbed in various sting operations. Among those arrested were Seyi Ojo (33 years old), Kamorudeen Quadri (32 years old), Ogbemudia Sunday (48 years old), Fatai Toheeb (22 years old), David Adebayo (43 years old), David Aderemi (30 years old), Olalekan Musiliu (35 years old), and Ayodeji Kehinde (39 years old).

The police recovered several items from the suspects, including a Toyota Corolla salon car, a Toyota Highlander, eight bags of dry cocoa beans, a red-colored Bajaj Boxer motorcycle, assorted phones, and a gold chain.

Furthermore, it was disclosed that one suspect, Dada Taiwo, was hospitalized due to gunshot wounds sustained during a confrontation with the police. Okafor confirmed that all the apprehended suspects had confessed to their involvement in the crimes and would face charges in court once investigations were concluded.

The Osun police spokesperson urged individuals who have lost valuables to criminals to visit the police headquarters in Osogbo to check if their properties were among those recovered from the suspects. Okafor emphasized, “The Police Command is using this medium to inform the general public that those whose properties are among the recovered exhibits should come with necessary documents to prove ownership at Police Headquarters, Ring-Road, Osogbo, Osun State.
