The newly appointed commissioners are Professor Ogbonnaya Uche, Mr. David Kalu, Kingsley Chibueze Nwokocha, Dr. Uwaoma Ukandu, Dr. Queen Ijeoma Aghukwa, and Ubochi Goodluck Chinedu.

In his address, Otti emphasized that the appointments were based on merit rather than the usual practice of filling key government positions with personal associates who contribute minimally to governance. He pledged to enhance efforts to improve the lives of Abia residents and assured the new commissioners of his full support.
