Latonya Eason, the boy’s mother, recounted the incident to WHBQ-TV. She was inside an attorney’s office in Senatobia when a police officer approached her, informing her about her son’s act outside. The situation escalated when additional police officers arrived at the scene. A lieutenant insisted on taking the young boy to jail for the public urination offense.
A distraught Eason shared her disbelief with the media, stating, “I’m just speechless right now. Why would you arrest a 10-year-old kid? One officer even told my son to get back in the car, saying it was OK. Yet another decided to take him to jail. It makes no sense.” CONTINUE READING
