Outrage As Patient Whips Female Medical Doctor In Yobe Hospital – Video Sparks National Debate
A Nigerian doctor, Alamin Usman, has raised alarm after a female colleague was reportedly assaulted by a patient at the Government Hospital in Damaturu, Yobe State.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Usman explained that the male patient, angered that the doctor had not attended to him promptly, allegedly grabbed a stick and beat her severely.
“Today, we woke up to the devastating and heartbreaking news of a medical doctor at General Hospital, Damaturu, Yobe State, who was flogged by a patient simply because of a delay in reviewing his file.
This happened after the patient had been called multiple times without responding. As the doctor was about to end her shift, she decided to hand over the patient’s file to a colleague.
The patient, after hurling several verbal abuses, followed her outside, broke a branch from a tree, and flogged her in public. He flogged a woman who was there to save lives—simply because he believes he lives in a society that tolerates and permits such acts,” Usman lamented.
The incident has sparked outrage online, with many Nigerians demanding the immediate arrest and prosecution of the patient involved.
