Outrage As Sowore Declares: ‘Akpabio’s Place Is In Prison, Not The Senate Presidency

Former African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has stated that Senate President Godswill Akpabio belongs in prison rather than holding a top legislative position.

Sowore made this remark while addressing the sexual allegations leveled against Akpabio by suspended Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti.

In an interview with Pulse, Sowore also launched a scathing attack on FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, and other politicians, accusing them of corruption and political misconduct.

The activist expressed no doubt about Natasha’s allegations, claiming that Akpabio has been involved in numerous crimes.

He stated:
“In any sane country, someone like Godswill Akpabio should be in prison, not serving as Senate President. If I were told that Akpabio was involved in organ harvesting, I wouldn’t be surprised because he and other politicians like Wike and El-Rufai have committed many crimes and walked free. Now, they operate with complete impunity.”

Sowore further described the issue as a reflection of a male-dominated society, where powerful figures manipulate narratives to divert public attention. He also criticized the past relationship between Akpabio and Natasha, citing an incident where Akpabio allegedly claimed to have slept in Dangote’s factory during her wedding.
