In an interview with Vanguard, Gabam criticized the government’s approach to security, governance, and economic policies, highlighting that the country’s situation has not seen significant improvement.

Gabam emphasized that a core function of any democratic government is to ensure the safety of citizens. However, he argued that despite a slight reduction in kidnappings, insecurity remains a persistent problem, pointing to the government’s failure to maintain law and order.

He remarked, “In every democracy, including Bola Tinubu’s, the safety of lives and property is paramount. Looking at the current statistics, it’s evident that the government has not succeeded in maintaining law and order.”

While acknowledging some progress in reducing kidnappings, Gabam questioned the credibility of a government that struggles with justice delivery, economic stability, and maintaining a functional legislature. He also criticized the judiciary for making judgments not rooted in reality and facts.

Gabam also took a swipe at the National Assembly, accusing it of neglecting its legislative duties and failing to meet the expectations of Nigerians. He described the assembly’s actions as inconsistent with its own established rules and detrimental to the nation.

He concluded by stating that fundamental aspects of democracy, including human rights protection, have been compromised under Tinubu’s leadership, labeling it as a government plagued by intimidation and harassment.
