Oyebanji Responds To Politicians, Says He’s Not Worried About Re-electionEkiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has dismissed concerns over the upcoming 2026 governorship election, stating that he is not worried by the political agitations circulating in the state. He emphasized that his focus remains on good governance and fulfilling the promises he made to the people of Ekiti, expressing confidence that God would guide his path, as He did in 2022.

“I will not lose sleep over the 2026 election,” Oyebanji said. “God, who saw me through the last election, will do the same again in 2026. My political future is in God’s hands, and He has never failed me. What God has not ordained for a man, no one can take from him.”

The Governor also called for an end to the frequent messages he’s been receiving, with some political figures expressing anxiety over the 2026 election. “Please stop sending me text messages about 2026,” he urged. “God is in control of everything, including the future. Let us focus on doing our work well and not worry about what is yet to come.”

Oyebanji, who credited his administration’s progress in key sectors to divine intervention despite the country’s challenging economic climate, reiterated his commitment to delivering on his promises to the people of Ekiti. “My focus is on fulfilling the promises I made to the people, not on politics. I trust that God will take care of the future.”

He further addressed concerns that he may not fully understand the political landscape, saying, “Some people complain that I’m not a politician, but I’m not bothered. I serve the God of peace, and nothing will disturb my peace.
