The budget, titled “Budget of Sustainable Growth and Development,” is primarily aimed at sustaining the pursuit of Shared Prosperity through the government’s six-pillar agenda, designed to fulfill the collective aspirations of the state’s citizens.

Governor Oyebanji, while delivering the budget at the House of Assembly complex in Ado Ekiti, emphasized his administration’s unwavering commitment to expediting infrastructure development in the state.

He explained, “In 2024, the government will undertake a substantial number of capital projects while ensuring the immediate well-being of the people is not compromised.”

He further disclosed that a total of N71,994,898,233.20 has been allocated to capital expenditure in the 2024 fiscal year, representing 45% of the total budget size. This amount has been distributed across the six pillars of the administration.

Governor Oyebanji also stressed the significance of good governance and its role in all government programs and activities. Therefore, he allocated N87,577,583,682.41 for Recurrent Expenditure in 2024, emphasizing the need for quality service delivery through efficient governance.
