Oyo APC Blames Governor Makinde For PDP’s Collapse In State
The Oyo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused Governor Seyi Makinde of being largely responsible for the troubles facing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
Oyo APC Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, stated on Thursday that Makinde and some of his colleagues lack the capacity, experience, and qualities needed to effectively lead a national party.
Sadare urged Makinde to concentrate on strengthening the PDP’s mission and vision instead of attributing the party’s challenges to President Bola Tinubu.
He said, “Instead of taking responsibility, supposed elders and leaders within the PDP left matters to chance, allowing Governor Makinde to dominate the party’s affairs.
“Due to his lack of experience and essential leadership qualities, Makinde has become a key factor in the PDP’s decline. Currently, he is the only PDP governor in Southern Nigeria, with just three or four remaining in the North.
“In reality, Makinde lacks the capacity to revive the party from its current weakened state. If almost all his gubernatorial colleagues have left the party, it raises serious questions about his vision and mission for the PDP, while President Tinubu should be allowed to focus fully on his duties as president.”
