In an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan on Monday, Mr. Samuel Oyetayo, aged 35, was arraigned by the police for allegedly forging the Oyo Government hackney permit and ticket.

Oyetayo, whose address remains undisclosed, faces a single charge related to the forgery of the Oyo Government hackney permit.

However, he entered a plea of not guilty to the accusation.

According to the prosecutor, Insp Toyin Ibrahim, the defendant purportedly committed the offense on May 1, in the vicinity of Dugbe, Ibadan. Ibrahim asserted that on the mentioned date and location, Oyetayo allegedly forged the Oyo Government hackney permit and ticket without obtaining consent from the government.

This action is said to be in violation of Section 467 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.

Magistrate Mrs. Kausarat Ayofe granted bail to the defendant in the amount of N50,000, along with two sureties who must provide the same sum.

The case has been adjourned until June 24 for further proceedings. (NAN)
