Robinson explained that PANDEF closely followed the lengthy 11-hour judgment, which was elaborate and provided detailed rulings on the case.
He noted that even for non-lawyers, it was apparent that the petitioners’ legal team had not performed well. While acknowledging that there is room for appeal for those dissatisfied with the tribunal’s decision, Robinson commended the Court of Appeal justices for their transparent and explicit judgment.
Despite his respect for the legal profession, Robinson suggested that the lawyers who handled the petitions might need to apologize to their clients for their performance.
He emphasized the importance of adhering to legal processes and urged dissatisfied parties to pursue the avenue of appeal rather than resorting to unlawful actions or casting aspersions on the judiciary.
PANDEF called for a responsible approach to addressing grievances in the interest of national unity, peace, and the country’s democratic development.
