Speaking at a press conference at the PDP National Secretariat in Abuja, Atiku urged his supporters to remain steadfast and drew inspiration from the lesson he learned from his late mentor, Shehu Musa Yar’Adua, who believed that losing a battle is less significant than losing the overall war.
Atiku expressed confidence that, with faith in God, they would ultimately prevail in the battle to restore confidence in the electoral system.
While Atiku respected the PEPC’s judgment, he also respectfully rejected it, citing his belief that justice had not been fully served.
He explained that his decision to approach the court was rooted in his belief that the judiciary is the sanctuary of justice, as it has played a pivotal role in his political career.
Atiku and Obi’s decision to pursue their legal challenge in the Supreme Court has generated mixed reactions, following the PEPC’s Wednesday judgment affirming President Tinubu’s election and dismissing the petitions of the PDP, LP, and Allied Peoples Movement (APM).
