This information was shared by counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama, who focuses on the Lake Chad region, in a post on his account. Makama stated that intelligence sources confirmed the meeting took place on Thursday at one of Aleru’s camps located in the Munhaye forest, within the Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

A local source, who requested anonymity, mentioned seeing dozens of motorcycles transporting bandits from various directions, all heading toward Munhaye.

Makama further explained that the murder of Isuhu Yellow in Dan Jibga village is believed to be linked to the ongoing feud between Aleru and Gide, two notorious bandit leaders operating in the North-West region.

According to the report, sources revealed that the gathering was convened to discuss possible retaliatory actions and strategies in response to the attack. The rivalry between Aleru and Gide has led to repeated violent clashes, resulting in loss of lives and displacement of communities across Zamfara and neighboring states.
