Parents’ Association Commands Students To Smash Phones Due To Poor Grades (Video)

A video circulating online depicts students at a school in Northern Nigeria reportedly breaking their phones with stones under the direction of the school’s Parents’ Association.

The footage shows the students, dressed in uniforms indicative of the region, as they smash their phones. Nearby, several adults are observed overseeing the destruction. One student, visibly upset, can be seen wiping away tears.

The incident appears to be a form of punishment for perceived poor academic performance.
