In a video shared by the Presidency, Tinubu was seen exchanging greetings with senior government officials before boarding the Presidential aircraft.

Those present at the airport to bid him farewell included the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume; Minister of Finance, Wale Edun; FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike; Budget and Economic Planning Minister, Atiku Bagudu; and National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, among others.

An earlier statement from Tinubu’s spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, revealed that the President would use the visit to evaluate his administration’s mid-term accomplishments and assess key milestones.

The statement further noted that the retreat would provide an opportunity for Tinubu to review the progress of ongoing reforms and plan strategically ahead of his administration’s second anniversary.

Onanuga emphasized that Tinubu’s time in Paris would allow for deeper reflection on governance strategies and national development objectives. He added that the reflection period would shape plans to enhance ongoing reforms and boost national development priorities in the coming year.

Highlighting recent achievements, Onanuga mentioned that the Central Bank of Nigeria had reported a substantial increase in net foreign exchange reserves to $23.11 billion, up from $3.99 billion in 2023, attributing this to the administration’s fiscal reforms.

Although away, President Tinubu will remain actively connected with his team and continue overseeing governance matters. He is expected to return to Nigeria in about two weeks.
