Njoku had recently claimed, after attending a Federal High Court proceeding in Abuja, that Governor Soludo and others would soon be suspended from APGA for alleged anti-party activities. Njoku suggested that the legal case sought to secure an interim injunction preventing the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from recognizing him as APGA’s National Chairman. However, he stated that the presiding judge, Justice James Omotosho, declined to grant the injunction.
In response to these assertions, Agunzi issued a press statement on Thursday, denouncing Njoku as an “impostor” with no authority to suspend any legitimate party members.
Agunzi said, “Can an impostor or illegal occupier suspend the legitimate members and executive of APGA? Absolutely not. These individuals must be living in a fantasy if they believe they can suspend any member of APGA. The party has rejected Edozie Njoku, and he should focus on his legal battles against APGA and the legitimately elected National Working Committee led by Sly Ezeokenwa at the Supreme Court.”
He further urged the public to disregard any claims of suspension made by Njoku’s group, reaffirming that “Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR remains the National Leader of APGA, and Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa is the National Chairman of APGA.”
