In a statement released on Thursday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, the NWC emphasized that the PDP’s primary focus remains on organizing a successful national convention aimed at revitalizing and repositioning the party for the 2027 general elections.

The statement read:
“For now, the PDP is concentrating on strengthening internal unity, stability, and fortifying its structures to effectively fulfill its role as Nigeria’s leading opposition party, with a clear determination to return to power in 2027.

“We are diligently preparing for a successful National Convention that will further energize the party for the challenges ahead.”

Nonetheless, the PDP expressed willingness to collaborate with individuals and groups who align with its mission to liberate Nigeria from the misrule of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
