No Love Lost: Wike Slams Dele Momodu, Says ‘I Never Counted Him As A Friend

Speaking during a media chat with selected journalists on Thursday, Wike dismissed Momodu as a mere “boy,” adding that he doesn’t even recall his name. The remark appears to be a response to Momodu’s ongoing criticism of Wike’s political maneuvers.

Momodu had recently argued that Wike could not defect to the All Progressives Congress (APC) without losing his political relevance.

Reacting, Wike said:
“There’s this boy they say is a journalist… What’s his name again? He’s big.”

When a reporter mentioned “Dele Momodu,” Wike replied:
“Oh yes, I don’t remember these names. He was never my friend. He ran for president but didn’t even get a single vote.”

In a related development, Dele Momodu has publicly declared his support for the newly adopted opposition coalition under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
