Danjuma Bello Sarki, vying for the position of Kaduna State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), voiced skepticism regarding the State Independent Electoral Commission (SIECOM) and Governor Uba Sani’s capability to conduct impartial local council elections.

Addressing journalists in Kaduna after a PDP meeting focused on the upcoming chairmanship election, Sarki criticized the appointment of the SIECOM chairperson, arguing that her seniority and experience were insufficient for such a critical role, leading to the resignation of four commissioners within the commission.

He also criticized the discontinuation of electronic voting, alleging it as a tactic to manipulate the electoral process.

Expressing his lack of confidence in the current SIECOM leadership and Governor Uba Sani’s administration to oversee transparent elections, Sarki pledged to ensure thorough oversight and uphold the party’s success if elected as state chairman.
