PDP Chieftain Sounds Alarm: Expelling Wike A Potential Pitfall Ahead Of 2027....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The spokesperson for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Youth Group, Dare Glintstone Akinniyi, has played down rumors of the party’s intention to expel Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) minister.

Akinniyi emphasized the significant influence wielded by Wike and his supporters, stressing that their presence within the party cannot be underestimated.

In an interview with Legit, Akinniyi expressed reservations about the timing of any potential expulsion, labeling it as “a banana peel” given the current state of party division.

He argued that such a move, if executed before the 2023 Elections, might have been more understandable, but under current circumstances, it could exacerbate existing party rifts.

Instead of expulsion, Akinniyi urged the PDP reconciliation committee to prioritize unity and cohesion within the party, especially with an eye on the upcoming 2027 elections.

He suggested that the committee should facilitate dialogue and impose sanctions for actions contrary to the party’s principles and interests.

In a related development, recent events in Rivers state have sparked controversy, with various actors involved in a political tug-of-war. However, Akinniyi’s focus remains on the internal dynamics of the PDP and its efforts to navigate these turbulent waters.
