The main opposition party asserted that the executives’ conduct has subjected the state to derision.

In a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Kennedy Peretei, the PDP emphasized that the cabinet members should be more attuned to their responsibilities, especially considering the state’s precarious situation with the governor absent.

Peretei remarked, “Observers of Ondo State politics may be puzzled by how the state has reached this unfortunate state of affairs, where the ship of the state is adrift on the high sea, lacking a captain and direction, and on the verge of a perilous cliff.”

“To compound the challenges facing the Akeredolu administration, two State Commissioners dismissed the purported communique as ‘senseless’ and having ‘no effect.'”

He continued, “Ondo State has never faced such dire circumstances. Who elected Babajide as Governor, or his mother, Betty.

In response, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) dismissed the PDP’s stance as unfounded. The APC.

through its Director of Media Publicity, Steve Otaloro, expressed disappointment at the PDP’s consistent disparagement of Governor Akeredolu’s achievements, considering their attacks as baseless.

Otaloro stated, “The latest criticism from the PDP regarding the State Executive Council’s resolution on Governor Akeredolu’s government is yet another example of baseless attacks. The resolution commended the Governor for his commitment to good governance, integrity, and his exemplary leadership, which has consistently motivated and inspired the council members to fulfil their duties to the state.”
