According to Deji, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) experienced a severe financial crisis during the tenure of its former national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu. Deji’s allegation suggests that Ayu and his associates mismanaged the funds obtained from the presidential primaries, leading to the party’s depleted financial state.

The presidential primaries held by the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the middle of last year ignited a series of controversies between party politicians and Nigerians. Initially, the party’s national chairman had declared that the party ticket would be allocated to a specific geopolitical region. However, a few days before the primary election, alterations were made to this decision in an apparent attempt to accumulate funds.

Social Media Critic and a former member of the party, Deji revealed the party has gone broke and gave valid reasons to back up his claims, in his words, he said;

“Fear who no fear PDP. Ayu and his NWC members finished the N22billion they made from primaries. PDP is currently broke.”
