Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 general elections, has extended his congratulations to David Mba, a Nigerian professor recently appointed as Vice-Chancellor at Birmingham City University.
Obi used his Twitter handle to share photos of Prof. Mba and encouraged him to find ways to contribute to Nigeria’s educational system, especially in light of the recent increase in tuition fees across the country.

The congratulatory message comes amidst the announcement by the Federal Ministry of Education about the increase in tuition fees for Unity Schools and the recent increment in school fees at the University of Lagos (Unilag) from forty-five thousand naira to one hundred thousand naira.
