Obi expressed concern that these individuals have turned Nigeria into a widespread crime scene.
He made these remarks while delivering the keynote address at the fourth graduation ceremony of Nexford University.
Obi highlighted that Nigeria is under the control of corrupt officials who are exploiting the government for personal gain.
He stated, “When we talk about vices, don’t just focus on Yahoo boys. In fact, there are more Yahoo people in government than there are outside because we have transformed the entire country into a crime scene, with both those in power and those outside engaging in theft.”
Obi also emphasized the importance of strong leadership to address the country’s issues. “It’s about leadership and shaping the future. It’s not rocket science, but it’s challenging. It requires strong character and the ability to refrain from doing the wrong thing,” he added.
