Please, Nobody Should Post My Papa — Late Actor Diewait Ikpechukwu’s Daughter Makes Emotional Appeal
The daughter of late Nollywood actor Diewait Ikpechukwu has made an emotional appeal to the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) and members of the public, urging them to refrain from publishing tributes or announcements about her father’s death until she personally makes the announcement.
The grieving daughter made the appeal in an emotional video shared following the actor’s reported passing, asking the guild to remove any posts already announcing his death.
She explained that she wanted to be the person to officially inform the public about her father’s demise, describing the situation as an extremely difficult moment for her and the family.
Speaking in the video, she said, “I didn’t want to do this video, but make nobody post my papa. This is a very hard video for me to make. Please, nobody should post my daddy’s poster. I’m still wearing my daddy’s shirt; he wore it yesterday.”
Her emotional statement has attracted attention, with many likely to sympathise with the family as they navigate the painful loss.
The appeal also highlights the family’s desire to have control over how news of the actor’s passing is communicated publicly during this difficult period.
