Poco Lee’s Case Takes New Turn As Papaya Ex Insists ‘More’ Has Not Been Revealed
Nigerian content creator and actress, Papaya Ex, has suggested that there is more to the ongoing prosecution of popular dancer Poco Lee in the United Kingdom than has so far been made public.
Papaya Ex, in a post shared on her Instagram page, described the situation as heartbreaking and appealed to people not to exploit the matter for social media attention.
She also expressed confidence in Poco Lee’s character, saying she believes he is a good-hearted person and that God would not abandon him.
She wrote that she genuinely believes there is more to the situation than what the public may have heard, adding that it was painful to watch her friend go through the ordeal.
Meanwhile, Poco Lee’s management and legal representatives have clarified that reports linking his arrest in the UK to alleged drink spiking are not part of the case currently before the court.
The clarification was issued on Tuesday amid growing public interest in the dancer’s legal situation.
According to his management, the matter is already before the court, making it inappropriate for the public to draw conclusions about the allegations before the judicial process is concluded.
The team also urged media organisations and members of the public to exercise caution and avoid circulating information that has not been verified.
Poco Lee’s representatives specifically dismissed reports claiming that drink spiking was among the allegations against the dancer.
They stressed that such claims are not contained in the charges before the court, warning that introducing unrelated allegations into the matter could create confusion and contribute to the spread of misinformation.
