Police Disclose Names And Photos Of Two Officers Killed In Abuja Shi’ite Conflict

The fallen officers, identified as ASP Innocent Agabi and Inspector Alexander Odey, lost their lives during a violent clash with Shi’ite members last week at a police checkpoint in the Wuse area of Abuja. In addition to the fatalities, four other officers, including a female, sustained injuries in the attack.

During the confrontation, the Shi’ite group also set three patrol vehicles on fire.

SP Josephine Adeh shared images of the deceased officers in a post on Sunday, September 1, expressing the deep loss felt by their families and the police force.

“Last Sunday, these officers set out to serve and protect, but tragically, they were taken from us by the Shi’ites. They were the breadwinners for their families, and the pain their loved ones are enduring is unimaginable. May their souls rest in eternal peace. Late ASP Innocent Agabi and Late Inspector Alexander Odey,” she wrote.
