Police Reveal Next Steps After Nafiu Gombe’s House Goes Up In Flames

The clarification was issued on Thursday in a statement by the Police Public Relations Officer, Buhari Abdullahi, who described the viral report as false and misleading.

The response followed a social media post alleging that an enraged group had set Bala’s country home ablaze. Bala is identified as a factional chairman of the African Democratic Congress.

According to the police, no such incident has been reported anywhere in Gombe State, emphasizing that the circulating information does not reflect the actual situation.

The State Commissioner of Police, Umar Ahmed Chuso, also urged residents to disregard the claims and remain calm, assuring them that the command remains committed to maintaining peace and security across the state.

The command reiterated that there has been no security breach connected to the alleged incident and advised the public to rely only on verified information to avoid unnecessary panic.
