Political Clash Erupts As Daniel Bwala Labels Rufai Oseni “Liar” Over Obi Comments

Bwala made the allegations while reacting to a segment on Arise News The Morning Show, where Oseni, during the “What’s Trending” segment, referenced Bwala’s December 2023 comment that “even if you give APC 30 years, nothing will work.”

At the time, Bwala served as spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar.

During the programme, Oseni criticised the rising insecurity in Nigeria and the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), questioning its handling of national security challenges.

In a post shared on his handle on Tuesday, Bwala accused Oseni of misrepresenting his earlier remarks and claimed the broadcaster was not being neutral.

He described the Arise TV presenter as pushing a partisan narrative and alleged bias in favour of the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

Bwala said: “This liar and Peter Obi propagandist is here again spewing lies and quoting what I never said surreptitiously to push his fake news agenda of blackmail and hate vitriol.

“The adult toddler has lost the moral ground to speak as a neutral when everyone knows he is a Peter Obi unofficial spokesman masquerading as a journalist.

“He doesn’t know that to masquerade as a journalist when you are never one is like a mechanic performing medical surgery. Animal husbandry. If I borrow the words of Mr Olayinka I would say ‘you should be doing documentary on animals’ and not fake news journalism. Pathetic.
