Adeyanju tweeted, “Our CBN Gov is a mechanical engineer banker & you wonder why dollar is almost N1,000. We moved from Meffy to this. Bankers should have no business with running CBN. Adeyanju’s tweet was a clear jab at previous CBN leadership, notably the tenure of Emefiele. He also took the time to dismiss arguments by certain quarters suggesting that a weak Naira could potentially bolster local production, sarcastically remarking, “Naija for show!”

Wrapping up his string of tweets with a call to action, he emphatically stated, “Sack the mechanical engineer CBN Governor now before he turns our legal tender to tissue paper.”

The tweets have since generated a buzz in the online community, with many Nigerians joining the conversation to share their views and concerns about the future of the Nigerian economy.
