Pregnant Woman Among Victims Of D*adly Shooting At California Shopping Centre
Police in California are searching for a suspected gunman who allegedly opened fire inside a crowded Spirit Halloween store in Fairfield, killing a pregnant woman and injuring six other people.
The victim was identified as 31-year-old Constance Hages, who reportedly sustained multiple gunshot wounds during the incident on Friday, October 30, 2026. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to Bush Radio Academy, Hages’ family informed investigators that she was a mother of four and was pregnant when the shooting occurred.
The incident reportedly happened at approximately 8:30 p.m. inside the store located at Solano Town Center. Police have yet to identify the suspect or establish what may have motivated the attack.
Among those injured were a 16-year-old boy, a 19-year-old man and a 32-year-old man, who were hospitalised in critical condition. Another victim, a 23-year-old man, was also listed in critical but stable condition. Two other victims, aged 19 and 43, received medical attention and were discharged on Saturday.
Fairfield police said preliminary investigations indicated that the shooting may have been a targeted attack involving a lone gunman who escaped before officers arrived at the scene.
The incident was partially captured on a mobile phone by 15-year-old Jocelyn Lopez Tabares, who had visited the store with her older sister to purchase Halloween accessories.
The teenager reportedly told investigators that she began recording because she wanted to preserve evidence of what was happening. She also recounted calling her mother during the terrifying incident because she feared she might not survive the attack.
Meanwhile, the FBI’s Sacramento field office has deployed its Evidence Response Team to assist local authorities with processing the crime scene as investigations continue.
