Bwala described the claims as disgraceful propaganda, designed to stir up tensions in Northern Nigeria against President Tinubu.
Bwala pointed out that Tchiani’s choice of Hausa, a local language in the North, was deliberate, indicating an intention to inflame regional sentiments. Tchiani, in a recent interview, alleged that France was negotiating with terrorists in Nigeria to undermine his country, and claimed that France had made a significant payment to President Tinubu to set up a military base in Nigeria.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, quickly dismissed these allegations as unfounded.
In a video response posted on his X page, Bwala called the claims baseless, accusing Tchiani of resorting to false propaganda in a desperate attempt to deflect from his failures in addressing Niger’s economic challenges. He criticized the military leader for using inflammatory language and suggested that Tchiani might be working with certain Nigerian politicians to sow division.
Bwala reaffirmed Nigeria’s longstanding role as a leader in West Africa and its commitment to maintaining strong, peaceful relations with neighboring countries.
