President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given the green light for the construction of 1,000 houses in Sokoto, Kebbi, Katsina, Zamfara, Kaduna, Niger, and Benue States as part of a comprehensive strategy by the Federal Government to address the conflict in the northern region.

Vice President Shettima also revealed that the President has allocated N50 billion to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) to initiate the Pulaku initiative, which represents a non-kinetic solution to the ongoing crisis affecting the northwest region.
According to the Vice President, “The President has sanctioned the construction of 1,000 houses in Sokoto, Kebbi, Katsina, Zamfara, Kaduna, Niger, and Benue, complete with essential facilities such as schools, clinics, veterinary clinics, and ranches for the Fulani community. In Kaduna and Benue, it is imperative that all victims are included.”
He emphasized that all parts of the country will benefit from President Tinubu’s developmental efforts and noted that the Federal Government is actively planning to revitalize wheat production within the nation.
Furthermore, the Vice President assured that President Tinubu is cognizant of the challenges facing Nigerians and is committed to addressing them. He stated, “The issues confronting Nigerians will be addressed.
We will utilize all available means to effect positive change. President Tinubu has the best interests of this country at heart, and he is resolute in improving the nation’s fortunes.”
Shettima also commended the vision and leadership of Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, particularly in the realm of enhancing the welfare of the people.
He expressed gratitude for the Governor’s support and empathy, highlighting their positive working relationship as a reference point for successor-predecessor dynamics in modern Nigeria.
During his visit, Vice President Shettima commissioned several projects, including the Shuwari II Community School and Healthcare Centre, Alikaramti Community School, and the Gamboru Liberty Day Secondary School, all located within the Maiduguri metropolis.
