Tinubuās diplomatic journey began last Wednesday with a state visit to France, at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. The trip focused on strengthening bilateral relations in critical sectors including agriculture, security, education, health, youth development, employment, innovation, and energy transition.
Following his three-day engagement in France, the president traveled to South Africa on Monday to co-chair the Nigeria-South Africa Bi-National Commission alongside South African President Cyril Ramaphosa. During the discussions, Tinubu emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation between the two nations. He also acknowledged the contributions of South African companies, such as MTN and MultiChoice, to Nigeriaās economy, while also recognizing Nigerian businesses like the Dangote Group and Access Bank for their achievements in South Africa.
