President Bola Tinubu, speaking in Kaduna State, emphasized the need for Nigeria and neighboring countries in the Lake Chad region to reform their military doctrine and practices to address the challenge of combating a “mobile and elusive irregular force.”He acknowledged that the adversaries faced by the sub-region are not traditional armies engaged in conventional warfare. During the graduation ceremony of Senior Course 45 at the Armed Forces Command and Staff College in Jaji, President Tinubu outlined his National Security Objective, focusing on security, justice, and democratic prosperity through state power. He pledged to provide necessary support to the military to enhance their combat readiness.

President Tinubu commended the role of the armed forces in combating violence and exploitation, urging them to defend the continent from geopolitical changes and resource competition. He emphasized the importance of building friendships and alliances based on cooperation, justice, good governance, and mutual respect.

The President congratulated the graduating officers and highlighted the College’s contributions to professionalism and the defense of national interests. Many participants were awarded prizes for their outstanding performance during the ceremony, attended by dignitaries including Kaduna State Governor, National Security Adviser, Service Chiefs, and members of the Diplomatic Corps.
