Among those present to bid farewell to the President were the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum and Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, as well as the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila.

According to a statement by Ajuri Ngelale, the Presidential Adviser on Media and Publicity, President Tinubu is set to meet with President Nguema Mbasogo at the Presidential Villa upon his arrival in Malabo. The two leaders will engage in discussions and are expected to sign agreements focusing on oil, gas, and security.

“President Bola Tinubu will on Wednesday, August 14, depart Abuja for Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, for a three-day official visit at the invitation of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo,” the statement read. “Upon arrival, he will meet with the Equatorial Guinean President at the Presidential Villa, where discussions will take place, and agreements, particularly on oil, gas, and security, will be signed.”

Joining President Tinubu on this trip are the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, along with other members of his cabinet. They will participate in the signing of agreements and explore opportunities to strengthen bilateral relations between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea.
