Primate Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, issued a cautionary message to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu regarding his aspirations for a second term. Ayodele emphasized that Tinubu should tread carefully in his dealings with the Northern region, as they are unlikely to lend support to his re-election bid.

According to Ayodele, there will be concerted efforts, including alliances and betrayals from those close to Tinubu, aimed at undermining his ambitions in the North. Despite Tinubu’s endeavors, Ayodele predicted a formidable opposition from Northern leaders.

Furthermore, Ayodele anticipated strained relations between Tinubu and his Vice President, Kashim Shettima, arising from Northern discontent. He warned of significant political hurdles and tensions for Tinubu’s administration’s second term aspirations.

Ayodele also expressed skepticism about significant developmental progress in the North, foreseeing continued insecurity, inadequate infrastructure, and educational deficiencies until around 2030. He urged vigilance to prevent potential ethnic conflicts and emphasized the absence of a clear developmental strategy for the Northern region under the current administration.
