The marriage ceremony took place at Isyaka Rabiu Juma’at Mosque in Goron Dutse, Kano, following the Friday prayers.
The distinguished list of attendees encompassed Vice President Kashim Shettima, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, Senator Ali Ndume, and Kawu Sumaila.
Eminent figures including Aminu Dantata, a respected elder statesman, and former Senate President Ahmad Lawan also graced the occasion. Members of the Kano State Executive Council added to the impressive guest list.
Vice President Shettima played the role of the groom’s Wali, representing the family during the marriage oath. On behalf of the groom’s family, he pledged N500,000 as dowry. Speaker Abbas participated by accepting the groom’s proposal and granting the bride’s hand in marriage.
In accordance with Islamic traditions, the wedding Fatiha proceeded, led by Sheikh Abdullahi Mahmud Salga, the Chief Imam of Isyaku Rabiu Juma’at mosque. The observance of these rites marked a significant moment in the couple’s union.
