Protective Father Speaks Out: Why He Supports Arranged Marriage For His Daughter

A Nigerian pilot, Arinze Odira, has expressed strong support for arranged marriages, emphasizing his commitment to guiding his daughter toward a well-raised and responsible partner.

“I am definitely a fan of arranged marriages—the kind where two people with similar values are introduced, and if love develops, they take it further. I believe marriages built on shared values last longer,” he wrote on Wednesday.

Odira added, “I am raising a beautiful daughter, and I will ensure she becomes an amazing human. I won’t sit back and watch her end up with someone badly behaved. If I know good, well-raised people, I will guide her toward that circle. We owe this to our children, especially in a world that is not short of reckless individuals.”
