The BOOT Party—an acronym for Because Of Our Tomorrow—is a registered political party recognised by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

DeeOne clinched the ticket after emerging victorious in the party’s primary election ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Reacting to his win, DeeOne took to his Instagram page on Wednesday night to express gratitude to the party for the confidence reposed in him.

He said the endorsement reflected trust in his ability to represent the people of Ibeju-Lekki Constituency 1 effectively.

“I want to thank my party, BOOT Party, for the confidence in voting for me to emerge the winner of the primary election for Ibeju-Lekki Constituency 1,” he wrote.

The comedian also pledged to serve with humility if elected into the Lagos State House of Assembly in 2027, stressing that his ambition was to serve rather than dominate.

“To Ibeju-Lekki Constituency 1, come 2027 by the grace of God, I will be your worker and not your boss,” he said.

His emergence adds to the growing list of entertainers venturing into politics as preparations gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 election cycle.
