Regional Development Minister Engr. Abubakar Momoh Hosts Meeting with Heads of Seven Regional Commissions

The Honourable Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, FNSE, on Wednesday convened a high-level meeting with the Managing Directors and management teams of the nation’s seven Regional Development Commissions — namely, the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), North East Development Commission (NEDC), South South Development Commission (SSDC), North Central Development Commission (NCDC), North West Development Commission (NWDC), South West Development Commission (SWDC), and South East Development Commission (SEDC).....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶

The meeting, which took place at the Minister’s office in Abuja, had in attendance the Managing Directors, top management representatives from the regional commissions, and senior officials of the Ministry.

In his address, Engr. Momoh underscored the need for stronger inter-agency coordination to enhance equitable development across all regions of the country. He stated that the engagement was part of ongoing efforts to align the activities of the regional commissions with the broader objectives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

According to the Minister, the collaborative framework being developed will ensure efficiency in project delivery, promote accountability, and eliminate overlap in mandates — thereby enabling the commissions to collectively drive inclusive and sustainable growth across Nigeria.

The meeting concluded with a shared commitment by all participating agencies to strengthen synergy, harmonize development priorities, and advance a unified national vision for regional transformation.
