Relief At The Pumps: Dangote Refinery Slashes Petrol Price Detail
The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, from ₦850 to ₦820 per litre.....KINDLY READ THE FULL STORY HERE▶
The adjustment was disclosed in a statement on Tuesday by the Dangote Group’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina.
According to the statement, the new price — a ₦30 drop — will take effect from August 12, 2025.
Reaffirming its commitment to Nigeria’s economic growth, the refinery assured citizens of a reliable and steady supply of petroleum products.
“As part of our dedication to national development, Dangote Petroleum Refinery guarantees an uninterrupted supply of petroleum products,” the statement read.
In line with its sustainability goals, the company also announced plans to deploy 4,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered trucks for fuel distribution nationwide, starting August 15, 2025.
This development comes just four days after the refinery had raised the ex-depot price of petrol to ₦850 per litre. Nigerians now await to see the new price reflected at the pumps across the country.
