Bago announced this while symbolically presenting relief materials to 700 households, which were beneficiaries of aid from the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants, and IDPs in Minna.

He clarified that the State Refugees Commission would operate within the Ministry for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management.

The governor expressed concern about the substantial number of IDPs in the state and emphasized that the Commission would effectively address the challenges faced by these individuals.

Governor Bago also disclosed that the State Government would distribute 13,000 bags of grains from its reserves to the IDPs in the state.

Furthermore, he pledged that the State Government would continue its efforts to alleviate the suffering of the IDPs.
